Instead of their usual per-program weeklong celebrations, Meridian International College (MINT College) decided to to have their five Arts-related courses collaborate for the one-time “MINT Media Week” this semester, last October 2-5 at the newly-opened Ortigas East, Pasig City campus.
They were warned but they didn’t listen.
The well-lit hallways were enveloped in a mysterious green glow. Colorful murals were exchanged with dark and cynical sketches. Black and red were the motiff for the day. The teachers and students disappeared and bloody ghouls began roaming around. What was once a cheery and chaotic atmosphere turned grim and eerie last October 25. As the school closes for the day, a haunted asylum opened instead—from the hip and creative MINT College to the dark and scary Saint Meridian Hospital.
Just like the rainbow’s definitive colors, the MINT Riffs—the school’s official glee club—had a vivid ‘technicolor’ of a showcase last May 20 at Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan. It was their sixth annual concert which they named “Bahaghari”.
MINT College welcomed industry practitioners to the campus for its annual SHOW+TELL—or senior showcase. It was held last May 23, in the afternoon.
