Create your future.
This is Meridian International College’s (MINT) battlecry for this year. Having a successful run last school year—with its acquisition of a new campus at Silver City in Ortigas East, Pasig City— the school is off to a greater one this time.
Known as one of the recommended ‘creative schools’ in the country, MINT conducted its annual Student Orientation Day last August 5 for college freshmen and transferees, and August 13 for its senior high school. The former date was spent at the new campus in Ortigas East and the latter was at its McKinley space.
On August 5, almost 200 freshmen alone filled the halls of the new campus as they were introduced to the unique school set-up and environment of MINT. The largest crowds were from the Multimedia Arts and Music Business Management programs. The incoming new students get to meet their different program heads, and learn more about their own respective programs and the various student organizations they could join.
The program also include breakout sessions wherein they get to meet the faculty and some of their seniors present. After the long talks and immersive activities per program, students were treated pizza. These mini-meetings allow the new MINT students to meet their fellow batchmates and know what to expect in the coming weeks.
The senior high, however, had a more intimate setting last August 13, as almost a 100 students convened for their orientation day. Same as with the college event, the new 11th grade students and transferees were introduced to the school’s culture and its policies as well.
The orientation day manifests the vibe and energy of the new MINT crowd. Truly, the school hopes to continue fostering its conducive environment for future creative professionals and the spirit of collaboration that MINT has always been known for. W
Welcome to MINT!
