Singer-songwriter, and member of the funk-pop OPM band, IV of Spades, Zild Benitez held an afternoon talk with MINT Music Business students last December 1, 2021. The event is hosted by the school's music student organization, Herbabuena.
His talk centered on his experience as a songwriter, what inspires him to create, and tips on how to navigate the local music scene. He also shared anecdotes about his history as a bassist, how IV of Spades formed, and what are his inspiration for his solo debut EP, Homework machine. MINT Music Business students also get a chance to ask him questions regarding music production and promotion. Benitez also shared lessons he learned, especially in signing into a label, copyright credits, and how to start in songwriting. W
