Last October 6, we honored the late Eugene Villaluz, B.S. Music Business Management (MBM) founder and former program head here at MINT College. The MBM students and alumni dedicated the Sonic Boom recording studio at the school by renaming it as "Eugene's Joint". It was a modest but meaningful gathering for a very special man that touched the lives of so many. Eugene was the consummate music professional. He was a founding vocalist for The New Minstrels, A&R Director for Warner Music Philippines as well as Viva Entertainment, and winner of the Seoul Song Festival, before founding the MBM program at MINT College. He has truly left the world a better place through his love and passion for music.
Alumni and current MBM students each wrote their names on the back of the new signboard before it was put up for display at Sonic Boom. After which, everyone enjoyed a night of performances at Alumnight to end the fifth day of MBM Week.
