OUR PROGRAM
4-YEAR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
CHED ACCREDITATION: G.R. 052, Series of 2015
KEY SUBJECTS
With the exponential rate in which technology develops, along with its high penetration into the machinations of our daily lives, our program leverages on our interdisciplinary strengths in arts, business, and technology to solve real-world computing needs in a range of industries.
Our students adopt, and adapt to, the latest methodologies in app development. This prepares them for deeper computing challenges such as data management, data analysis, machine learning, and even hardware programming. As they graduate with advanced computing skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, they are ready to pave the way for high-tech innovation.
Object Oriented Programming
Design and Analysis of Algorithms
Symbolic Logic
Automata and Language Theory
Compiler Design and Construction
our mentors
Our faculty, and the educators we invite, are rich in professional experience. With mentors like them at the helm, our students graduate with the skills and mindset to make waves in the industry.
Arvin Buendia. As a CSxIT instructor and head of the Computer Science department, Arvin trains students in the realm of robotics, programming, and engineering. He spearheads projects that challenges our students to enhance their skills in these fields while improving the curriculum. Before coming to MINT, he was a guest lecturer in the University of Makati and a Robotics Curriculum Provider at Lyceum of the Philippines. He is also a Robotics and Automation Product Manager at Norde International Distributors, and a Robotics expert at Sprytech with his wife, Marlyn.
Marlyn Buendia. She is one of our esteemed instructors for both the Computer Science and Information Technology departments. She took her Masters in Information Technology at the Technological University of the Philippines, and is also a professor at the University of the East. Currently, she is also a Robotics expert at SpryTech Solutions, a company offering robotics trainings and workshops for educational institutions while helping build their curricula, together with her husband Arvin, who is also our Computer Science program head.
Jim Imbong. A graduate of Communication and Media Studies at Ateneo de Manila University, Jim remains a pillar in our school of technology since he started teaching here a decade ago. He helped modernize and update the CS/IT curriculum, infusing modern languages, tools, and frameworks into the modules. More interestingly, Jim also curated a track-based curriculum where students can focus on their primary areas of interest such software or game development.
Before coming to teach in MINT, he worked as chief technology officer at Index Valley and ServeHappy Jobs. He also worked for Ascendant Global Inc and Adobe, where he headed the successful launch of the first Adobe Camp event in the Philippines featuring international speakers such as developers of the then-popular game “Angry Birds”, and speakers for experimental Virtual Reality implementations.
